# Celtics Necklace — In-Progress (2026-05-29)

> Donlin medallion series · 2 of 4 · for Jarod · 2026-06-07 deadline (T-9 days)

- **Method:** Manual-multicolor terraced-tier, darker-on-top order. 3 colors: Sunlu PLA+ grass green → white → black.
- **Layer height:** 0.2 mm. **Pauses:** L24 (Z 4.6 mm, green → white) and L28 (Z 5.4 mm, white → black). Two M600 swaps total.
- **Order rationale:** vivid green sits as the lowest color tier (recessed in final piece), opaque black caps the top. Per v1.2 §13 C tradeoff: cleaner side-walls than lighter-on-top, no muddy-stack risk because black is opaque.
- **Why no planning-chat mesh editing:** Sam selected a source design that's already mostly-nested (clover + wordmark variant) and did his own slicer-level pause edits in Bambu Studio. Lower-friction worked example of the 3-way collaboration — Sam can self-serve when source geometry doesn't require .3mf mesh surgery.
- **Source file:** in Sam's Downloads; will be promoted into the workdir (`personal/celtics-necklace-print-2026-05/`) after the print succeeds. Following the "don't promote until validated" rule.
- **Procedure reference:** [multicolor-without-ams print-guide v1.2 §13](/personal/multicolor-without-ams-reference-2026/print-guide.html#v12update) — pause-rule formula, paint_color verification, tier-order tradeoff, method scope, and this print as the §13 F second worked example (currently marked validation-pending).
- **Workdir:** [/personal/celtics-necklace-print-2026-05/](/personal/celtics-necklace-print-2026-05/) — scaffolded with intake.md only; awaits source `.3mf`, slicer weights, post-print photo when print completes.
- **What lands here when print succeeds:** source `.3mf` promoted to workdir · slicer weights → filament-inventory update · v1.2 guide §13 F Celtics row flipped from "pending" → "validated" · project status moved to complete.
- **Earlier planning-question handoff:** none was created in this session sequence (the Blue Jays earlier-session fresh-chat handoff was a different artifact and is preserved as-is).
