## Four Winns Freedom 190 (1989, OMC Cobra 4.3L)

| Item | Status | Notes (SAM-FILL specifics) |
|---|---|---|
| Cupholder replacements x ~6 (recessed drop-in) | buy **or** 3d-print | **FIRST: measure the hole/bore diameter** (common marine standard ~3 to 3.5") -- that number drives every option. SAM-FILL the measured diameter. Full option breakdown below the table. |
| Bilge pump -- Rule-Mate 500 (RM500B), ~$25-40 | buy (maybe) | **Test the two existing RM500s FIRST** per the bilge troubleshooting (`/equipment/fourwinns-h190/#bilge`) -- may not need a new one. RM500 spec: ~1.8-2.2A draw, 3-4A fuse, 16 AWG wire, 3/4" discharge. |
| Bimini / sun-deck flip-up rear cover -- many tiny tears | diy-repair (temporary) | Stop-it-spreading + not-ugly fix: marine canvas/vinyl repair tape, Tear-Aid, or an iron-on/adhesive patch, until a real fix. SAM-FILL: cover material + size. |
| Trim gauge -- no needle + gauges erratic | diagnose | **Issue filed: `fourwinns-trim-gauge-2026-06-09`.** Could be the sender, wiring, ground, or the gauge itself. |
| Starboard freeze/core plug -- **1.5"** | ORDERING (rubber, Amazon) + order brass later | Plug measured **1.5"**. **NOW: 1.5" RUBBER EXPANSION PLUG -- Sam ordering from Amazon** (Dorman also at NAPA/O'Reilly/AutoZone/Advance). Tight-space fix, no engine pull, **no sealant** (tighten the center nut to seat). **LATER: 1.5" BRASS cup plug** (NAPA brass) for the permanent fix at the **transom-leak haul-out** (bundle it). **Rubber = no sealant; brass = RTV/Permatex on the edge.** Install procedure + crack-check: issue `fourwinns-freezeplug-starboard-2026-06-08` / `/equipment/fourwinns-h190/`. |

### Cupholder replacement options (x ~6) — decision gated on the measured bore

**Step 1 (do first): measure the hole/bore diameter** — common marine standard is **~3 to 3.5"**. That number picks the option. <SAM-FILL: measured diameter (+ depth)>. OEM is long discontinued, so it's aftermarket-universal or 3D-print.

- **Option 1 — cheapest/easiest: T-H Marine recessed plastic cup holders**, ~**$4.19 each** (6 = ~$25). Reputable marine brand; drop-in. Source: T-H Marine, Wholesale Marine, Amazon ("replacement boat cup holder"), Marine City Hardware.
- **Option 2 — premium/durable: 316 stainless recessed holder**, ~**$30-44 each**; fits a 3.5" hole; padded bottom (anti-rattle); 3/8" drain barb; lifetime warranty.
- **Option 3 — 3D print (Sam has a Bambu A1): free STLs** — a Four Winns-specific drained holder exists (STLFinder "cup holder for boat", modeled from a Four Winns Vista 298); Printables "Boat Drink Holder" by MadP 3D (printables.com/model/271220); edZed "Boat Cup Holder" (printables.com/model/21917, STL+STEP). **CRITICAL: print in PETG, ASA, or ABS — NOT PLA** (a closed boat in summer sun exceeds PLA's softening point and it will warp; PETG is the A1 sweet spot).
- **Install (any option):** break the old silicone seal with a putty knife, pop the old insert out, bead fresh **marine silicone**, drop the new one in (~10 min each).
- **Recommendation:** cheapest + reliable = **T-H Marine plastic (~$4 ea)**; project/custom = **3D-print in PETG**; never-replace = **stainless**. Decide once the bore is measured.

## Harris FloteBote (Sam's pontoon)

| Item | Status | Notes (SAM-FILL specifics) |
|---|---|---|
| Seat/seam repairs (Sam can do by hand) | diy-repair | Materials: marine vinyl/canvas thread + heavy needle, or adhesive / Tear-Aid for the seams. |
| Corner seat reassembly (Sam HAS the vinyl) | diy-repair | Needs a cost-effective + reliable **no-machine** fix (machine gave trouble last year). **Recommended no-machine path:** a **Speedy Stitcher sewing awl** (or a heavy-duty hand needle) with **V-69 UV-resistant marine (bonded polyester) thread** -- strong, doesn't need a machine. Alternatives: **marine vinyl adhesive (e.g. HH-66)** for glued seams, or a **local upholstery shop quote** for the one piece. The awl + V-69 is the most reliable DIY. |
| Trailer broken bunk | (tracked) | Issue `harris-trailer-broken-bunk-2026-06-05` -- repair/replace; bunk board size SAM-FILL. |
